Save the galaxy... or tear it apart!

The Last Federation, a turn-based grand strategy Sci-Fi epic, is now available 60% off for Windows, Mac OS X, and Linux, together with the 10% off Betrayed Hope DLC. That's only $7.99 and $6.29 respectively for the next 24 hours!

From the creators of AI War: Fleet Command comes The Last Federation, an all-new grand strategy title with turn-based tactical combat, set in a deep simulation of an entire solar system and its billions of inhabitants. You are the last of a murdered race, determined to unify the 8 others. As the last remaining Hydral, it is up to you to create a lasting federation of planets and usher in an era of peace and prosperity to the solar system. Bring spacefaring technology to underdeveloped societies, manipulate their economies, political systems, and diplomatic relations. Do whatever it takes to end strife in your solar system. Remember, when helping civilizations evolve, sometimes they evolve faster when a large multi-headed monster is glaring menacingly at them.

The Betrayed Hope expansion adds a new layer to the game with new game modes, while adding countless ships, abilities, music tracks, and quests. The DLC lets you turn the tables on the usual goal. In Betrayal Mode your task is to achieve solar domination through subterfuge, war, and temporary alliances. Invasion Mode allows you to face a deadly threat right at your doorstep making bare bones survival the first priority.

Unite, devour, or survive in the vast expanses of the universe in The Last Federation for only $7.99 available together with the 10% off Betrayed Hope DLC. The promo offer lasts until Thursday, December 4, at 9:59AM GMT.
Interesting promo, at least for the base game.
I'm going to wait for the end of/new year sale though.
Not sure it will be any cheaper (dont think its been cheaper elsewhere either) - actually it has been cheaper. But not drm free

Nice game :) :) :)

The base game is certainly worth the sale price. Dlc as always my not look worth the price but Beyond Hope actually gives you new play styles and changes the game significantly. As usual with Arcen games dlc are basically expansions.

The price is good, but I have to save credits.
I have added to my wishlist a few games with higher priority than this and they are going to be part of the winter sale :-)

A few days ago there was a leak on GoG about the sale's first day.

Niggles: Not sure it will be any cheaper...
as time goes by it can only get cheaper ;)
FYI, you have to use the link on the main page to get to the promo or click the "That's bla" hyperlink in the first post.

The currency only shows $ and no £ or anything local?

From the promo page:
"If you are using regional currency and this page is showing prices in dollars, don't worry. The prices in your regional currency will show in checkout. Sorry for the inconvenience."

Cheers, I suck at reading the stuff in small letters :)

Need to check once I get home if I have this already elsewhere.... I am also saving up some for the Winter sales that are bound to blow in soon.... :)
I don't really understand those *Gem Promo's*... I get the idea it is all about GOG promoting a gem, however I seldomly sus what the specific *Gem Quality* is. It's never explained why GOG considers it to be a gem.
Think I would like that. ;-)

It usually means that the game did not sell very well and gog is trying to get the sales going :)

For some time now I see that the games that sell very good on gog are simple games where as complex games like The Last Federation don't get the attention they deserve even for the release price of 14.99$ but that is just the current gaming population :)

What game is a gem and what is not, really lies in the eye of the beholder :D

How come I bought Eador Master of the Broken World (where I spent my last weeks on instead of progressing in Shadows:Heretic Kingdoms) for £1.29 on this website, but paid like £10+ for Mount&Blade (which I really do not enjoy playing).

Eador total consumes my free time at the moment, Mount&Blade was something I tested for 30min and removed it from the computer again.

Good promo!
Has anyone tried this game out? What is it like?
