Tantrix: I am just surprised, a few weeks back it was under zero.

You sure? I thought it was 60-something for a while. I doubt anyone's ever uprated his posts.

Last I have seen was around -10. Couldn't believe it either.

You sure you're not thinking of a JakobNZ sockpuppet or something? Only I don't see him getting rep through any means than GOG's auto-rep for daily posting.
I'm a paying customer of quite a few establishments. I must be doing it wrong.
As far as I can tell from our system, you should have gotten a reply to your suggestion, plus the messages regarding account name and login problems and your problem with the Downloader. I will post this message on our forums and send it through a non-GOG.com mailbox, perhaps @gog.com mail addresses are blacklisted by your mail server or mail program for some reason. Did you get order confirmation e-mails from us?
The last reply (the one relevant to the Downloader) was incorrect, I must have mis-clicked and replied to your message instead of sending that reply to someone having credit card problems... I apologize for the mistake, but considering you haven't acknowledged that reply, you must not have received it anyway.
Please follow step 5 and, if needed, step 6 found here:
http://www.gog.com/en/support/support_view/GOG_com_Downloader_issues
This should fix the problem with your Downloader starting minimized.

If you troll enough, your rep will go up. Only if your trolling is not sufficiently high will you lose rep over time. I call it the inverse rep theorem.

Which is why I think the rep system is broken. Unless GOG want people to post here, no matter whether it's trolling, spamming, abusive comments etc.
At least anjohl was an inventive troll. The trolls we've had around here lately are pretty low-wattage.

stevenhwood: Remember I didn’t create the problem, and I’m just not the kind of person to settle, it’s ok the GOG downloader’s not working so I’ll just shut up and use Windows.

So... you're not using Windows? Despite this website clearly stating that the only two operating systems that are supported are Windows XP and Windows Vista. And you do realise that Adobe (the makers of AIR, which is the framework used by the GOG.com downloaded) is hopeless when it comes to properly supporting operating systems other than Windows? Just go talk to some Linux users about Adobe Flash.

stevenhwood: I am just blown away at the size of the forums for each game. So many CUSTOMERS have that many problems, and yes, like I have said it’s good that there are other CUSTOMERS helping and offering their knowledge and experience. But in the end it’s ultimately GOG obligation to render ad and replies, that’s all I’ve sad.

You do realise that not all threads in the forums are about problems? And that the users who post problem threads in the forums probably represent only a very, very small number of GOG.com customers? And you realise that most problems that do crop up tend to be relatively easy to solve, and that those problems generally have little to do with the games themselves (which would be GOG.com's problem), but more to do with the systems that users have? Most problems are connected with missing codecs, using antiquated drivers, using old versions of DirectX--that sort of stuff.
This thread reminds me of the Steam forums. I certainly hope that the GOG.com boards aren't turning into that nightmare. A little tact and patience, along with a willingness to not immediately see every problem as a personal injury inflicted on you out of some deep-seated corporate malice, can really go a long way.

Thank you for your reply both with emails and posting on the forum. I have done as you stated and will keep you informed as to the result.
And I think you ought to know you have a little protective following, some ready to drop on their own swords in your honor. Thanks again because I do love what you are doing with the games.
