Ok, not to sound like a fan-boy but I have used Steam and Desura in the past even for non-DRM games. Fact is, they SUCK. If for no other reason than I have the freedom of controlling my games myself and not being required to have a third party, and buggy, application sitting on top of the game. Desura and Steam are poison in my experience and I have had little less than agony working with them over three to five years. I am done with them. Permanently.

I have been on GOG for perhap a year now and so far, 5 of 5 stars, near perfect. The website even works in the five browsers I have tried (firefox, chrome, IE, midori, safari).

As much as I dislike having only digital distribution I understand, for whatever reasons, the industry wants to go there. I am just happy that a place like GOG exists.

Keep up the good work.

I agree; the ability to actually own the games you buy is fantastic!
Hi!

Indeed, GOG is just the best community hahaha.
If there are specific games you want to see here be sure to vote for them on the wishlist, and if you have social media or forum accounts you might post messages of support for GOG releases there, too.
GOG ftw!

I believe this company excels at other areas besides the DRM-free catalog. For example, they support the games so that they work on newer platforms. Also, I've not seen anyone else do this: offering a special bundle sale price, but letting you buy only the items you don't already have at that the same bundle price instead of making you buy the entire bundle again. That to me is classy!

Still more: My experience with customer support is so far pretty good, even if the wait is about a week sometimes.

And last but not least: the Community!... 'Nuff said! :-)
