I have an MSI U100 netbook, and I realize that GOG is a perfect match for these tittle systems. The games are old enough to run well on the lower specs of these machines, and, since netbooks generally do not have optical drives, the direct download and play really helps.
In the end, you get great gameplay in a package that is under 3 pounds with excellent battery life.
Is anyone else using GOG games on their netbook?

I have installed Die by the Sword on my Netbook, so I can play quick bouts of duels in between studying sessions. Great for helping to ease the stress!

My netbook gets used for gaming more than my gaming rig thanks to GOG. Some games however are still best played using an external monitor (good example is Warlords Battlecry - way too cramped and can't see anything hardly), at which case I just use the gaming rig. I've got something on it for just about whatever I'm in the mood for. RPG, RTS, TBS, FPS, even an SD card full of movies (mostly family guy episodes though) and music; and eBooks for when I feel like reading.
Also, don't forget a good pair of headphones for when playing games where sound can be crucial when it comes to hearing what people are saying or hearing that monster just around the corner.

While I don't own a netbook - YET - Perfect portable gaming for me = Load game on thumb drive and play in any machine available.

Netbooks are great for gogs that don't require 3D, or are 3D but very old. I use it mainly for Caesar 3 and Stronghold.

I would say GOG + Netbook + MOUSE = Awesome portable gaming. Touchpads are awful for gaming, its like the inaccuracy of a thumbstick with the inconvenience of a mouse with a tiny desk area

Agreed. The mouse is mandatory for me.

I picked up a trackball gizmo at micro center--you hold it sort of like a gun and your thumb moves the trackball and the "triggers" are the mouse buttons--it works great. I can't find it on their website, though. I like it because you don't need a mousepad.

I use my netbook for GOGing, and, with the addition of a mouse, it is very awesome. You can even run some games that need 1024x768, although the screen scrolling up and down is a bit of a pain.
