Anyone else have the same problem with the site and forum in these days?
Yep, for about the past week I'd say. It's not as bad as it was during the Activision assault and I haven't run into any of those odd forum glitches we saw back then, but pages are very slow to load and do occasionally time out.
Especially today. But I thought that was mostly bandwidth usage at my end.
Yesterday the entire site and forum were slower for me.
Today it's mainly posting replies that seems to be slower.
It's always been slower than most other sites for me, but I've found the last week or so to be especially bad. Takes anywhere from 4 to 6 seconds to load a page on this site.
As GOG gains more mainstream recognition, we also get more traffic, witch means the response time could drop a bit. Also we have traffic peaks around promos and big announcements (witch recently means all the time ;). But don't worry, we have things in the works, that will speed us up visibly.

Good to hear, guys. I hope that's in place before the Atari titles hit or GOG could be impossible to access for a while. D:

thanks for the reply
Thanks for the info, Venom. Not a huge deal, as GOG is certainly worth waiting the few extra seconds for the page to load, but it will be nice to see it speed up. :)
Awwww! Our little GOG is growing up! Soon enough and it's bandwidth clothes won't fit anymore.
Dunno if it's just me, but seems appropriately fast now. :)
Ditto, either the traffic has died down a little, or they fixed/changed something.
