Birthday fun and gifts (for you!)
GOG.com 5th birthday celebration continues, and we came up with some fun activities essential to every nerd party in the universe. Namely, we want to play some trivia with you! There will be prizes, of course, because there have to be gifts in a birthday celebration. Since it is our party, you get to keep the gifts! We wouldn't have it any other way. But, just to make it more fun, you'll have to put some effort into getting them. For the next couple of days (let's say: until Sunday), we'll post a daily activity for you. A quiz, a puzzle, some trivia--you know: fun stuff. Each day you'll get a chance to prove your gaming knowledge and familiarity with GOG.com for a chance to get some free games. Our activity of choice today: word search!

UPDATE:
We got word from our support, that some users aren't sure where they should send the answers. Let's pretend that finding the e-mail address on the picture below is a little warm-up exercise before the actual word search. If you can't handle that task, there's probably not much point in wasting your time looking for the 40 titles. And one more thing: we didn't notice it ourselves, but there's actually 41 hidden titles in the picture (apart from the highlighted "FEZ"). That's because one of the longer ones contains another one, shorter. Still--we don't expect more than 40, and that gives you a bit of an advantage.

GOG.com Birthday Word Search

You've got time until Thursday, September 26, at 14:59PM GMT. That's 24 hours. Have fun! :-)

I found all 40 (not including Fez) and none of them were a title within another title. I'm actually trying to figure out which one it is you guys are talking about.
And sent. Had to take a smoke break, got back, and found the remaining two within a minute.

If you have the option, maybe try sending the email from a different site (perhaps Gmail?)

38 ... whatever
35. That's reasonable amount for me. Already wasted over two hours in this, but still. THIS WAS FUN!

Psyringe: And then there is a 3-letter abbreviation which is _part_ of one title, but might count as well, perhaps.

DreadMoth: If that's what I think it is, I think it's more likely to be what they wanted than the title-in-a-title (which I think was probably an oversight)
Possible. From the general layout of the solutions, the three-letter abbreviation _does_ look like an intended solution. On the other hand, the title-in-a-title is actually a better solution on the terms of the instructions, since it _is_ a complete title of a game in the catalog, whereas the 3-letter abbreviation is just that, an abbreviation (and just a part of the actual title in the catalog).

I think GOG will probably count both as valid solutions.

Gave up at 33...
Just sent my 41 (40 + FEZ). Was fun, I like wordsearches. Took about 25 minutes.
What are you guys talking about a title within a title?

In word searches you can't circle a word within an already circled word. That's not how word searches work.

Wow... Do you play word puzzles a lot? :P
Found 21, but decided to just enter the draw in the end.

I've always been good at wordsearches. Just seem to spot the words. I also found it easier to copy and paste the image into paint (well, Paint.NET) and mark on the words I found.

Oh, and I sent them my image as well as the list. :)

Hmm, going on what people are saying here, just to clarify, I did not have the title within a title as one of the 41, so from that I can only take that to be an unfortunate occurrence.

Sent it in with 39, not including Fez, but including the title within a title. Sorry, but that's too damned much work for either prize. And the spacing was brutal on the eyes, at least the diagonals were.

At least last week's prize was worth the effort and the entries were fun to make and see what others had come up with.

I have 35 now. I have done it in paint, but for some reason I don't find them that fast. You think being a native english speaker would help when it comes to finding?

After some deep thought I decided to count Fez in, because then it rounds nicely to 42.

(Too bad I found the last one about two minutes after I sent the answers)
