catpower1980: I used to do my fitness workouts listening to God Module and Suicide Commando, it was great for warming up and lifting those f*cking barbells. Now that I have some injuries, I must listen to quieter music to avoid overdoing my workouts :o)

Glad you pointed me to the Arsch Dolls album, there are some tracks I'll definitely play to in Symphony ;)

I'll dig up the masters of hardcore catalogue. Back in the days, the Thunderdome series was a huge thing in Europe when it came out, it was almost mainstream even if no clubs played that kind of music ^o^
yea arsch dolls is a pretty good but only know of that one album
Not in as I don't know ANYTHING about those genres/subgenres. But I didn't even know about Symphony. Sure seems interesting. +1!! :D
Not in & +1! :)
Not in, but thanks for the giveaway, and congrats on the nice new phones! I have headphones on most of the day on some days (while at the computer, while cleaning, while sitting out back, etc) and currently am in love with my beyerdynamic dt 880's. I remember really enjoying the Sennheiser HD600's when I tested those as well.

I'm too out of touch to know genres too well, but here's something that's somewhere in the trancy-dancy-electro ballpark. ;)

OMG, what a blast from the past! :) I purchased his "Ghost" album back in the 90's, brings back a lot of memories:

No wonder I was a fucked up teenager when listening to such music , lol ^o^

Oh nice, "Ghost" is one of my favorite records! I was a fan of this guy when he was in Flying Saucer Attack, which is more wall-of-noise psychedelia and less structured, so when he started doing the Third Eye Foundation material, I was quite pleased. He's an interesting one... his solo stuff (just listed as "Matt Elliott") is very "drinking man's folk" with occasional tape loops and samples and oddness. Good stuff!

Lol, I didn't know he was in Flying Saucer Attack (which I really loved at that time), I like learning new things everyday ^o^

I'm not even certain he was a member of Flying Saucer Attack, but they collaborated a lot back then, so I've always associated the two with each other. I do the same with Flying Saucer Attack and Roy Montgomery, though I don't believe they were ever officially in a band together. I can never keep up with this stuff, lol.

**Oh, and wikipedia to the rescue: "Elliott started recording with the band Linda's Strange Vacation, which included Kate Wright (Movietone) and Rachel Brook (Movietone/Flying Saucer Attack), around the time Wright and Brook formed Movietone, and Brook and Dave Pearce formed Flying Saucer Attack. Elliott was a part time member of both bands."

So, he was also a part-time member of Movietone!? Looks like we both got to learn something new today. :)
