With so many titles leaving the catalogue, I have been squirreling away keys for folks who either miss their chance or who later discover these games are no longer here. I wanted to see what our resident Key Djinn have set aside as well for the long Winter. Here is my gifting reserve:

Gah. Better get another then. The game may turn out being worth its weight in, well, its name. :) Hopefully we'll get a similar heads-up if that happens. But I'd rather we didn't lose anymore games.

Seriously almost every game EA has released here is now on Origin just for a usually higher price since they separated all the games that were bundled together such as Ultima's 1-3, 4-6, 7 parts 1 and 2, Wing Commander 1 and 2, Lands of Lore 1 and 2, ect. So if you want Ultima's 1-3 you have to pay 4.99 a piece for them instead of the mere 5.99 for all 3 here.

But Origin India has regional pricing on some GOG-available games. We can only hope people don't get lured in with that.

Exactly why the games could be at risk here.

Is that only one copy of Jack Keane 2: The Fire Within I see in that list? But... you made a promise... ;-P

I cannot reveal the true count of that title, lest it cause a run on the market. ;)

Good thing I already bought the whole EA catalog save for Ultima IX, when I did. Still I doubt EA would think it prudent to pull their older games off GOG unless the sales on Origin would be enough to cover the lost sales/income they get from here, which seeing how they handle the pricing on Origin with older titles I doubt it. Seriously you would have to be a "No Origin, no buy" type(really do those types even exist? I know for Steam they do but Origin?) to pay 14.97(4.99 a piece) to get Ultima's 1-3 or Ultima's 4-6 as opposed to paying just 5.99 for the same set of games.

So yeah I doubt the sales they are seeing on Origin would really be worth it for them to pull their current catalog off GOG and have them keep any future classic releases as Origin exclusives. New titles sure but not old games.

I've noticed GOG lightened the list of redeemed titles from my gifts tab. Not sure how I feel about that. Of course they left the dead links for Fallout. I may just request to have those removed.
