I don't know what to say. I really just don't.

Gazoinks: Don't forget to reload!
Yeah..

They also like to get in your way during critical moments, follow you around despite orders to stay put, draw attention from Striders at bad times and so on. Then again I guess they're meant to resemble civilians with little training.
Man, where are brothers getting so much money to bankroll $70 payouts for these trolls?

I don't know, but I want in on-

I mean, it is a horrible thing to do and I do not encourage it in any way.
HL2 and Fallout 3 are different types of games. I don't know how the OP manage to even begin to compare these both?

HL2 is more like Crysis or even Counter Strike as for Fallout 3 is a sandbox Oblivion with guns game.
I became slightly dumber just by reading the original post. Troll topic.

Vitek: Questions, why do you have 2 accounts and are you able to play any game without raging?

And these are the ones I remember, I think there is more.
I have a very bad memory. I can't remember passwords, account names, user names and such. The process of enrolling in something is agonizingly slow for me. I am an instant gratification person. I wanted to get on the forum YESTERDAY, not ten minutes from now, so I don't take any time to write down my account info. Weeks or months later, I try to come back, can't get in, and end up creating a new account out of frustration.

I have played very few games that did not annoy me in some way.
The Civ games are pretty good. Fallout 3 was very good. Codename Panzers was okay.

But, yeah, I ragequit a LOT. I feel that the player should be the focus, and it is not.

I feel that REAL people should be used as playtesters before a game is released.

Damuna: Not to offend, but how old are you?
Why do you ask?
avatar
bearcat22: SMASH! "Frustration is not Fun!"
avatar
dae6: I actually find a bit of frustration entertaining.

What's the point of playing a game if my victory is assured from the beginning?
What's the point of ANYthing if you can't expect a payoff?

Have you ever tried chess ?

bearcat22: Your opinions to the contrary are not wanted.

spindown: Hahaha...
I laughed at that line too among others. :)

I found the lack of ability to compare apples to oranges rather uneasy. Either you like one better than the other (or for this particular thread, one is harder than the other). It's as simple as that.

You can't be serious.
Well, Halflife 2 is actually quite easy. So if you find it too hard even on "easy," chances are you're not going to enjoy any FPSs.

Can you explain these statements?

The payoff comes when you overcome the challenge.

bearcat22: Angry rant follows. Your opinions to the contrary are not wanted.
Such effrontery should be rewarded : you receive 5000 xp, you receive Bug's Bunny ears (granting a +2CHA).

I would like an explanation for these statements as well. Very few games auto-win for you. Those that do tend to be favored by people with severe attention span deficits as well as people with anger issues that want that "feel good for free" pill.

Not saying you're either, just pointing out that on a forum where the majority of games hosted on its site are harder than HL2, I find this intriguing.
