I think I'll pass on the obvious crack about "ghost writers".

If anything, the death of an author/artist does wonders for the sales of anything with their name on it. The author may be gone, but the brand will live on for some time.

He's been far more into this whole gaming lark than I've given him credit for - RIP Mr Clancy!

Fever_Discordia: I think Codemasters were still slapping Colin MacRae's name on stuff after he died, weren't they?
I am fairly sure they changed the series name to DIRT. RIP Tom Clancy.

Sad news. His work wasn't anything spectacular to write home about, but he had a good and accessible style, easy to read, and his stories were gripping. I really ought to revisit some of his Cold War books.
