Would love to see this game get the GOG makeover.
It had so many great ideas goin' on, plus it had mechs & zero-g battles:)

I still have 2 copies, but it proves incredibly difficult to run on any machine post windows 95. My old xp machine can run it for a few minutes, but it'll inevitably crash.

Any fans still out there? Anyone found any solutions to some of the problems?
I've heard of folks who got it running on vista & 7, but the textures end up inside out.
Well Activision is on board here so anything is possible as they ahve alreay realesed dark Reign which came out about the same time.

Also loved Heavy Gear especially the music which i had made to mp3 when i had the original disks.
this and the first one would be awesome!

I never actually got to play the second one but the first swallowed my life for a little while.

(not so much the story mode 'cause that was honestly crap, but the online/sand box war mode is unparalleled to this day in it's scope constantly shifting lines.)

Yep, played the first one as well, loved the battle map. It was such an awesome & simple way of creating a pesistant world. I know Chrome Hounds tried something similar years later on the 360.

I'd really love to see the two of them, but if it came to a choice it would have to be 2. It was a much more refined game & added a huge amount as well.

Sweet, I miss the Heavy Gear games so much, would completely make my year if they released them.

That reminds me though, I must get Dark Reign, lol.

Yep, have to agree on the music, & in the first game as well.
I've got them on mp3 too :D

I almost forgot about Heavy Gear games up until you posted this thread. Now I keep looking at the HGII jewel case on my shelf and really want to play it...

Fond memories flood back :)
Would love to see both of them here...

...and the animated series as a bonus! =)
