There's an old first/third person action/rpg game that I remember being awesome, but I can't for the life of me recall what it was called. The main things I remember is that you played a female main character, and you started out in a very lush environment before some event occurred. Your character used a mix of acrobatics/hand-to-hand for most of the game, although there were firearms available as well.
Unfortunately, I am being more than a little vague, but I am desperately hoping to remember the title and also hoping that GoG has it or is planning to stock it. (I looked through all the available titles hoping it'd jog my memory). What really sticks out in my mind though was at the time it was only one of a few games that had a female main character, the other obviously being the tomb raider series, and it came out somewhere in the late 90s earlier 2000s (I want to say 98/99 probably).

Beyond good and evil? :D
Could it be... Oni?

Oni starts you in a warehouse full of crates, that's not what I'd call "a very lush environment".

Sorry! Just trying to help. It's been MANY years since I've played the demo of Oni.
BG&E was the impression I got too. But it's not exactly first person or an RPG.
I think we're going to need more details here: was it sci-fi, fantasy, modern? Anything else you can remember at all?
If either one suggested already isn't correct you could try checking here.
Tresspasser? It has female protagonist and jungle environment...though I'm not sure if it has hand-to-hand combat and acrobatics...
Minus the "lush environment", it sounds like Oni. Can't think of very many other games from that era where martial arts was a core part of the game, anyway.
Of course, I only ever played the demo.
JIll of the jungle!!
Or maybe Heavy Metal FAKK2? Just throwing it out there, I never played it myself, having been rather young at the time, but I recall it getting fairly good reviews.

It's got dinosaurs in it. :P Going kung fu on their arses wouldn't be too beneficial.

It's gotta be FAKK2, it matches perfectly based on the demo I played. You are a chick with a wedgie, you start out in a jungle and do a bunch of jumping/dodging acrobatics, and you get to use swords and guns.

Oh my god, that's it. Thank you so much. Unfortunately GoG doesn't seem to have that game, but at least I have a starting point!
