MaximumBunny: He says that he feels GOG should use more noble/elegant terming as a premium platform instead of advertising like a $19.99 knife set on an infomercial. Something along those lines.
Rephrasing what I wrote in a slightly ironic way to undermine my opinion? That is my favourite rhetorical figure, too! I especially like "noble" in this context - good choice! Nevertheless, this somehow proves my point: Wording is important.

Yes, I just hoped you would leave, if I ignored you. When you are unable to understand even HereForTheBeer's explanation, I am not interested in your opinion anyway. Sorry.

HereForTheBeer: The giveaway is amazing like this is amazing: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-rTcfKfXwqo

Amazing:
- launching a spacecraft a decade or more in the past to rendezvous with a fast-moving comet... and it succeeds!
- the wonder, beauty, and complexity of procreation, and that everything goes right most of the time.

Not amazing:
- giving away an old computer game, available here for at least a couple years now, for which you would normally pay something like 6-10 bucks.

It's nice of them to do so but it's hardly amazing. Marketing, sure - it's definitely marketing. Amazing? Uhh, no. A little perspective goes a long way.

Free game aside, GOG has indeed this typically European way of mimicking too closely American ways of saying/hyperboles, with often very goofy results.
