While there are times I want to get a friend a game I already own because it's just that good, most of the time I'm checking sales to see if anything will catch my eye. Unfortunately, lately that means going through multiple pages and hoping to see even one game that is not marked "owned".

Is there an option somewhere that allows you to filter own games you already own and only down unowned games? (Like how you can filter by type of game or price category?)

I'd hope for a why to search the sales and only see games that I don't own. At the moment, I suspect GOG is missing out on sales because I don't want to check more pages after I strike out on the first 4-5...

You can use Barefoot Essentials to hide owned games at the catalogue:

Other than using Barefoot Essentials Only in your library can you hide owned games. When looking at the catalog the price should be greyed out and show owned if you already own the game though.

Thank you. That should stop the games from being shown at all on the sale page, correct?

Barefoot essentials can be set to hide the games in the catalogue, but not on the front page or in promo pages (such as the current "FPS icons" or "City builder bundle").

Maighstir: In the catalogue, not on the front page.
So when I go to the bottom of the page and select "ON SALE" under Games? (Due to downloads currently running I can't restart by browser for a few hours, but if this will work, it sounds like the solutions I asked for.)

That's the catalogue, merely filtered for on-sale, so yeah, that works.

It's not quite perfect though, due to GOG's pagination of the catalogue. You won't get fewer pages to walk though, but fewer items on each page.

The script is installed... There is no change to the catalog page.

If you have essentials installed then hover your mouse over Account at the top, Select Essentials, Select misc., make sure box is checked that says Hide owned games and movies in catalogue.

click games in upper left and catalogue should no longer show your owned games (there will be a tab at top that says owned games are hidden)

Are your games hidden now?

Yes! Thank you. :)
They don't even have the gaps someone else described, just full pages of unowned games on sale. :D
