That's dumb. If I want to hunt for gifts I can always go to the store page of a game I like (I do own it after all), or uncheck the option. They'd get more money out of me if I could filter sales to things which are useful for me.

Advice for the GOG staff, if nothing else. Add that feature. It has value.
Agree it is needed.

Yes it is not a big deal, but GOG might consider the implications to frustrate customers when there are other places they can go to buy games?

Meanwhile the OP can filter many games out by searching new releases?

If you have barefoot essentials installed you can hide games you own when searching in the catalogue
