BoxOfSnoo: Sriracha I always found too salty.
Salty huh, might be good then.
Just put a lot of pickapeppa sauce on some roasted fish. Not really a "hot sauce" - there's a wee bit of heat - but an interesting flavor, and you can add some chiles to give it more kick.

Ric1987: What are your favorites? I am looking online to try a few new ones.
Some of my faves are:

Blair's Sudden Death Hot Sauce
Cholula Origina/or Chili Garlic Hot Sauce
El Yucateco XXXtra Hot Kutbil-ik Mayan Style Habanero Hot Sauce
We have Dave's Insanity Sauce around here, most locals even can't take that stuff, a couple drops will spice up an entire pot of chili.

A_Future_Pilot: A friend of mine puts Dave's Insanity Sauce on almost everything he eats. That guy's ridiculous!
I see I was scooped, but I'm guessing people don't really know just how fucking hot Dave's is.

Siracha is only good for Ramen or Pho that wasn't made hot enough for your tastes. It's not very good by itself, but mixed with some Plum sauce or the like, it's okay.

Got two jars of homeade sitting in the fridge atm. One is green the other red. I cook with the green and dip with the red. Good stuff.
Anyone else think the Aardvark Habanero sauce is false advertising? I had to coat the top of my chili the other day (as in couldn't see the chili anymore) to even get it a little spicy.

You may be like me. I have had people sitting in front of me at the table tears streaming, snot running, flushed over a salsa and all I get is a mildly warm sensation. They're dying and I'm eating it like there's no tomorrow and enjoying it. I eat a lot of peppers though so I may have built up some immunity to the heat. There is a bbq joint near here that makes bbq sauce with ghost peppers in it. That shit is hot as fuck, but it doesn't stop me from eating it. Ones man's heat, another man's, "damn I'm gonna have to pour a fuckload of this on here to get any sort of kick out of it."

ETA:

Just checked out their site. Never heard of it before. Not gonna waste my time on it unless a bottle pops up somewhere.

I've read that gingers have an extremely high tolerance for capiscian (sp?) so that may be it, but it's now to the point that I can't enjoy the spice unless it's enough to really hurt my stomach. I've never had anything actually made with ghost chilis, those would be hot, though, I'd love to try that:)

Hahahahahaha gingers. Well, if you can find some I would recommend it. Those peppers also have a good flavor even though they are well fucking hot! They make extraordinarily good bbq sauce at that place with those peppers. They're in the salsas I have here atm as well. Very good stuff. You can see the effects if you ever watch Man v Food. LOL

Oh, Youtube has plenty of videos of idiots snarfing down ghost chilis:) I want something that they enhance though, if you say BBQ sauce I might try and find a recipe...

Yes, they make excellent bbq sauce and salsas!
I do want to try ghost pepper, I've had enough habanero.

This hot sauce is awesome so I had to come back to this thread.

Mrs. Renfro's makes a pretty spicy Ghost Pepper Salsa, though I personally prefer the taste of Habeneros. The best Habenero sauce I have tasted is produced by a little restaurant in Los Angeles called Chichen Itza, but this thread has given me a number of other options to try. Great topic.

It's a shame that we don't really have sauces readily that you could truly describe as hot in Northern Europe. You get the odd bottle of tabasco but nothing that really knocks your head off.

Personally, I'm a wasabi man myself. Love mixing it into mashed potato.
Try Me's Tiger Sauce is one of my favorites. It's not really hot, but it adds a lot of flavor IMO.
Louisiana Gold Wasabi Pepper Sauce. Again, not really hot, but very flavorful.
