Tried that, didnt work. Turns out having stagefright is not helped by being pumped full of a crate of stella artois just before you go on stage. Just makes you surly - REALLY surly!

I want to try amateur stand up too. But my some of my jokes are based on dark humor or even gallows humor and I don't think that will match up with my countrymen. They prefer their comedy to be pc enough so not to offend someone.

Move to the UK. One of our biggest earning comedians thrives on that.
