Well there goes the money I was planning to save this pay, my psp will soon be flooded with Batman!
Right, because a small PSP screen is more than enough to enjoy your comics.
Only to be expected after Marvel made the plunge. Paul Cornell was griping about it on twitter and now he's happy. Mainly because of more cash going in his pocket of course.

Bingo. I wouldn't like to read a comic this way, and I'm sure that nearly every single comic book artist will hate the format. Aside from a tiny low-res screen doing their work no justice at all, it also encourages (almost requires) lazy panel layouts. How can you lead the reader's eyes over a page when there isn't one?
This sort of thing'd be fine for something like a webcomic, or a newspaper cartoon. For anything that takes actual effort and heart to create, it's going to pale in comparison to the proper hard copy.

Actually it looks and feel great on the PSP. And I can take my PSP with, say 50, comic books anywhere - I rather have that, than carry around 50 real comic books :)

Have you ever used the digital comics app? It simulates all of that. It advances frames as a slideshow, big art is panned over automatically and then zoomed in closer so you can read the text, page transitions are animated... They've clearly made every effort to replicate the real comic experience as much as can be done digitally, its shitloads more than just loading JPGs on a PDA
