News channels actually broadcasting news and not what happened on American Idol, the newest gadget or diet craze.
The news programs around me have turned into a talk show about the latest trends and entertainment news. Real news consists of about two minutes of the program. Thankfully they still show the weather forecast.

Indeed! He's singing those while he's with Ringo Starr's All Stars. This latest All Starr lineup has the two Greggs (Rolie-keyboards and vocals and Bissonette joining Ringo on drums) as well as Richard Page, Steve Luthaker, and Todd Rundgren. It seems Rolie sings only Santana songs, although it would rock if he would sing "Anytime" or another of his Journey classics. Backed by Rundgren and Bissonette as a rhythm section, it would be quite excellent to hear.

You know what. James Bond. Remember that ?
The United Artist letters, followed by the gunbarrel, and the impression that you were about to enter a little world of lighthearted fun, tension, classy banter, unpredictable sceneries, and shiny (low) high tech espionnage.
Hearing about a new one coming in the theater, or selecting one you hadn't seen yet in the video club, hesitating between this Connery one or that Moore one, or the weird one with that unknown guy but maybe it's good too. Evaluating the gadgets, vehicles and explosions surrounding the unimpressed tuxedo silhouette on the cover.
Hearing about a new one in preparation, and believing that it would never be over.
So, yeah, old era. In the same category : looking for the next (new or unseen) Eastwood western or cop movie, or checking for unwatched "spaggheti westerns" in hope for the next Leone, Barboni, Valerii...

We are now "Back to The Future" : http://www.microfinancemonitor.com/2014/03/05/amazing-back-to-the-future-flying-skate-ready-claims-huvr-demo-on-youtube/
There is still doubt if this is a hoax or not, but I must confess that I´m already thrilled by it for only scraping youth memories...

The death of Claude François
The death of Léo Ferré
The death of Jacques Brel
The death of Pierre Desproges
The death of Patrick Deweare
The death of André Franquin
The death of Léon Zitrone
The death of Thierry le Luron
The death of Daniel Balavoine
The death of Michel Colucci
The death of Georges Brassens
The death of René Goscinny
All events that were quite mediatised or had quite an impact around me. But personalities that have "always been dead" for the youngest people nowadays. It goes without saying that I reacted differently to each one of them, as some of them I admired and respected much much more than the others... But still, they were all memorable events.
Also : the Challenger shuttle disaster.
Heck, even the first Columbia launch. Space shuttles !! Woah.

Definitely a hoax than:
1. there's no such thing as 'antigravity',
2. if there was, scientific research on it and theories about it would pre-date practical implications by many years.

Anyone ever have to use... a typewriter??
Ugh those things were annoying. Loading the paper, setting the print, ensuring the right font, messing with the margins...
Kind of like using Word :)
Oooo and those mail-away video clubs. Columbia house I think they were called. I think they are still used now, but they were massive for our family in the 80s-90s.

Don't forget getting your fingers caught in between the keys. It was a human mouse trap.
