It only came to my attention today, unfortunately, or I would have gladly contributed to the Kickstarter, but the small team at Fictiorama Studios, based in Spain, successfully reached their funding goal of $45,000 yesterday, and can now make their game, Dead Synchronicity: Tomorrow Comes Today -- a sci-fi dark point and click adventure.

I know a lot of people here on GOG can't stand more indie titles, let alone point and click adventure ones, but I, for one, am really excited about this one! Watching the video, I could immediately identify with those guys, I, too, grew up playing point and click adventure games -- they're still my favourite genre, by far --, and they mentioned some of my personal favourites when describing what they're aiming for. Broken Sword+Sanitarum?! Day Of The Tentacle+I Have No Mouth And I Must Scream?! Hell, yeah! Count me in. The games they named as inspiration, that awesome Grim Fandango poster in the background, the fact they're working with Kovalski in composing music for the game inspired by old giallo movies from the 70's and 80's are all telling me this is indeed a game for point and click adventure games fans that fit in the same specific niche as I do, that is to say those who also happen to like thriller/horror themes, old horror B-movies, dystopian sci-fi settings, well written stories and good music -- all with that classic p&c interface we grew up knowing and loving!

There's already a GOG Community Wishlist entry for Dead Synchronicity (with 15 votes, which is more than Unholy Heights and Beatbuddy had at the time GOG published them) so, if the concept and premise of the game interests you, if you like classic point and click adventures with great art, great music and mature, dark subject matter, please, go vote for it on the Community Wishlist! The guys say they are releasing the game DRM-free -- eventually going Steam as well, if they get greenlit --, and I'm pretty sure they'd like some GOG community love.

(Oh, and be sure to try the demo, as well!)
Personally, I've never had a problem with indie games being on gog provided the game is decent and comes in a complete package (looking at you dark matter).

This game does look decent, wishlisted and hope it comes to gog.

Who? :) I thought people are complaining about puzzle platformers... Point and clicks? The more the better (well, terrible for my finances, but otherwise - great :))

Some people complain about every single game GOG releases that is not a "Good Old Game". I don't think they're in the majority, mind you, but they sure as hell are vocal. Annoyingly vocal at that.
I love me some point and click, and don't care who made them. x)

I think what people are really sick of is puzzle platformers, and anything labelled "brutal difficulty".

Edit:
I just checked out the kickstarter, and the game does look absolutely fantastic. Looking forward to its release.

The last point and click released was... Broken Age? Only complains I remember were about the game not being difficult enough (which is true - played through the entire thing and never stucked for longer than 5 minutes - but I don't see it as something really bad as long as the story is good).
So, point and click, old or new, bring them on :)
I am also glad that it got funded, and I voted for it in the GOG Community Wishlist.
