For some reason the videos play too choppy for me. Anyone got that too?

Negative. It uses Flash. Do you usually have issues with Flash video?

jungletoad: I think it's a nice idea and the presentation is slick. However, I've watched a few of the reviewsertisements now and by not really being an ad and not really being a review, they are just kind of hard to take seriously. Just watch the review for Kitten Sanctuary. It's comical to watch these guys try to pretend to be interested in the game enough to bother even talking about it.

melchiz: Kitten Sanctuary is a tough one. Stardock employees have been plugging that game for a long time, so I didn't find the praise in the video to be disingenuous.

I actually bought it because of the impulse TV feature. The biggest plus is that they feature less well known games. I don't find the bias to be a problem at all. Any user video about a game is biased, because apparently the user had a strong enough opinion about it (one way or the other) to post a video about it. At least now you know they're at least a little bit too positive. It became quite clear quite quickly that kitten sanctuary was just a well done match three game with kittens (which means it doesn't really appeal to the average male grownup gamer). So I bought it for my girlfriend, who loves simple games like this, and now she makes cute sounds when she's teasing a kitten with a flashlight. Well worth the price, I say :p

Negative. When I watch videos from an embedded Vimeo or y-tube for exaxmple, I dont get any delays at all. Maybe it's something to do with the overhead from having the page run on top of the impulse client?
I was about to post about this on the bashing thread, or even create a new thread, but didn't bothered to.
Anyway I find it a cool way to demonstrate the game, it's biased as they are trying to sell something to you. I find a simple interface like of this TV a lot easier for the newcomers to digest, than the now cluttered steam front page.

Thanks for the tip, brotha. Now I've found a reason to buy this game that I've never heard of. =D

No, it should run smoothly. Make sure to "check for updates" in the Impulse file menu, as there was a patch a few days ago that resolved performance issues with Impulse TV. Otherwise, if you could provide any more information about your system and what happens (high CPU usage? memory getting devoured? etc.), that could help.
Idea is great behing the Impulse TV. But they must play the games much more before making these kind of videos. They sound like they are playing the game for the first time in videos.
