Thanks for your responses guys. At least im not the only one.
I will not be buying games over 500Mb because it take about 3 hours for me to download that size with my browser and anything over 3 hours, my browser usually crashes or acts up and i lose my progress and have to start over.
My suggestion for GOG. The downloader is the most important thing for a download store. I will not buy games from many sites because either they dont have a downloader or it sucks (ie DotEmu, Origin but Origin might have fixed this) except for smaller games less than 500Mb. I need to be able to stop and shutdown my computer and restart the download the next day without any problems. This is my main factor when i consider buying games over 500Mb, thats why i stick with Steam, Amazon and GamersGate for those games because their downloaders are excellent. If you want an integrated downloader, then copy Steam. If you want an individual downloader for each game, then copy GamersGate, their downloader is excellent at stopping and resuming without losing any data.
Another suggestion, please bundle the manual and strategy guides into the main download, its just more convenient for most gamers to have this when they installed the game instead of downloading separately. Thanks.
Please view this as constructive criticism and dont flame me. I like and support GOG but i want to help them make this site better.
