Sielle: Most are probably endangered because of human actions. It's just us trying to use science to fix past mistakes. (May work, may not... who knows unless we try, if nothing else we should at least preserve samples of those species cells so we can clone them later once our technology advances).
Then again if this does work for "endangered" species, what's to stop us from doing it with extinct species as well? Assuming of course we can find viable source cells. <evil grin>
I suppose it's possible to bring back extinct species. But I'd imagine that the DNA would have decayed beyond usefulness by now.
Rohan15: And I suppose the Loch Ness Monster is a bunch of dolphins?
But seriously, what the hell is the point? Mother Earth and her bitch children killed em off, leave those monkeys alone. If only Dinosaurs were being cloned....but then the government would have full control over them eventually....Probably use the for war.....Actually, those would be awesome weapons of war....Pterodactyls with gunners on top....Velociraptor injections......T-Rex tanks.......In that case, please hurry up and get that made!
It's at times like this I'm even more glad the Bush era is over.
