Paradoks: But you really should try and get used to M&K. Just practise - once you know it you won't look back :).

This.
I played console games for about 15 years and found it weird at first adapting..but yeah..definitely dont want to go back. Recently I tried Dead Space on PC with a 360 controller and could barely aim. :)

Exactly. The main reason there are no (to my knowledge) FPS games that support multi-platform servers, so that PC players and console players could play against each other, is that the console players using controllers would have their asses handed to them by the PC players using mouse and keyboard.
I remember when I did the switch myself, although I've never been a console player, so in my case it was the switch from using just the keyboard, to using mouse and keyboard in combination. Early FPS games mainly worked in two dimensions, and there wasn't too much of a vertical component to the gameplay. Using keys for looking up and down worked fine then, and was rarely needed. All the games where enemies could be above or below the horizon used vertical auto-aim anyway, so you just had to center them horizontally in order to hit them. Then along came Quake. I played it just fine in single player, using just the keyboard. Using mouselook was unfamiliar to me, and so I was reluctant to use it. Then I tried going online... I thought I was fairly good, but I had my ass handed to me so thoroughly, that I switched to using both keyboard and mouse from that day on. It didn't take more than a couple of days for it to feel like second nature, and I've never looked back.
That was a long story, but the short and long of it is that K+M is simply the control setup for FPS games.
damn thanks everybody i'll try some of your suggestions

Exactly and thats the reason that they should relase a mouse & keyboard controller for the 360. I mean how hard would it be? Hell, even infinium labs managed to produce that much! Building a small scale keyboard and mouse that combines the controller and chat pad in one that provides the functionality of the controller in a better format should be fairly elementary.
Think of the revolution in console gaming, FPS' where you can aim reliably, 3rd person action games wityh good camera control. PLAYABLE RTS'!

Pfft! Soon you'll be wanting to upgrade the graphics card and RAM.

Shadowrun supported crossplatform play with 360 and PC with Gold LIVE accounts. Like you said the console players were torn apart and got bored. The few PC players who were interested had no intention of paying for a Gold LIVE account so quickly disappeared. To this day I believe the few PC games that do support crossplatform play (Shadowrun and UAW) still require the PC user to have a Gold account to play.
Ram perhaps, GPU no way. The limited GPU is the only thing that can curb the push towards "all shiny, no gameplay" titles
If they could make that big impractical and overpriced 2 stick controller for whatever that mech game was and instruments for music games, why not a well designed keyboard & mouse? If nothing else there's a chance it might convert a sizeable percentage of mindless pc elitists as well, or at the very least knock out one of their strongest arguments against consoles.

Might not be the only reason they got bored, that game was like tedium given form. A few of the features & powers were cool but the multiplayer gameplay and levels were so incredibly dull that they offered nothing over other FPS'
Shadowrun deserved better

Don't you see it? Design and market a decent keyboard and mouse for a console, and you won't sell ANY of the special-use controllers you've made so far, also all other makers of specific-use controllers will sue you for removing their market.

Quake 3 used to support cross platform play between Dream Cast and PC users, shame the DC tanked, same problems as described above because the casual DC players stood no chance against PC players who were caught in the height of online multiplayer deathmatch games which were shaping the PC landscape at the time.
Yeah, real pity. A console far ahead of it's time that one.
Oh, almost forgot... Q3 sux UT rox! :D

It was Microsoft who decided to cut the single player game out of Shadowrun. FASA Game Studios were extremely upset about it but Microsoft were closing them down so didn't really give a flying fuck. As a fan of the SNES Shadowrun game and the PNP role playing game yes it really did deserve a lot better.
I'm going to be a bit of a dick here but: don't try and find ways to get around the keyboard and mouse. Adaptation will always take a while but you got to bite the bullet instead of trying to find ways around because otherwise it will take a LOT longer before you'll get the hang of it. As a keyboard/mouse user, it took a while to get used to the Xbox 360 controls for a FPS as well but I got used to it as well.

Despite them eliminating Gold accounts?
The magic keys "WASD+mouse" are the best gaming controller in the world. So get used to it :-P

In FPS or RTS games they are clearly superior (imagine playing Starcraft or UT 2k4 with gamepad....ewww), however platformers and sports are quite good with controller

Don't forget the arcade racers. Playing TrackMania's Island maps on a keyboard may lead to more crashes than recommended.
