Gazoinks: A winner is you! Check your PMs! I enjoy the image of an expansionist tribe of Bardbarians. Plus I played a Bardbarian once in D&D, and I'm a music nerd so yeah. :)

Great entries all around, though. If I had the funds I'd giveaway multiple copies.
Awesome! My thanks to you, Gazoinks. :) I will get to see what all the fuss is about. I hadn't heard of it before it came to GOG and now all I see is how great it is.

I'm glad you enjoyed my post.

Bardbarian... didn't think of that one. Barbariadour was the only thing I could think of. :)
Congratulations.

Out of curiosity, how heavy are the simulation elements? Most of the reviews/previews focus on the event system.

I've only started playing Civilization recently (as in Saturday) and I still trying to wrap my head around how I'm supposed to tweak a lot of the micromanagement options in the dialog boxes so I can move forward instead of just spinning my wheels.

It's definitely lighter than Civ. There's no tech three, you don't expand by building new settlements, and the only buildings you can erect are defensive stuff like Walls and Watch Towers. The management stuff is more about managing your resources, especially your cows, trading, etc. It's also fairly easy to jump in without understanding all the details, and getting the hang of it as you go.

This
When it comes to Barbarians I gotta go with Conan and do what is best in life.

Even though it is over I just felt like posting that.

I was always impressed by cohen and his silver horde.

- "What is it that a man may call the greatest things in life?"
- "Hot water, good dentishtry and shoft lavatory paper."

-- Cohen the Barbarian in conversation with Discworld nomads (Terry Pratchett, The Light Fantastic)
I'd take them all to school and we'd take over the World with our excellent knowledge of economics.

MUAHAHAHAH!
Congratulations adambiser and thanks Gazoinks for your generosity
I'd invite them over for a week. My neighbors would get a lesson on what it feels like to live next to a pack or rowdy barbarians. I sure do know.
