Coelocanth: Is this based on D&D rules, then? A lot of the feats you're describing are D&D feats.

Duh. Should have figured that out myself. Thanks. :)

KOCollins: That's strange...I just went there on this reccommendation of JudasIscariot and it was working for me, and now I have downloaded the demo and look forward to giving it a spin.
I got it from here:

Thanks for letting me know about this game JudasIscariot, it looks like it might be a lot of fun :D

JudasIscariot: The site being down might have been a mySQL burp because I am looking at the site now with no problems.
Yeah, I'm still getting an mySQL - how do I fix that?

Use a different browser, perhaps? I am using Opera and I get to the site with no problems.
Tried the website with both IE9 and FF4.
Got an SQL Error.

From your first post, though, it seems like a cool game.

The site worked fine yesterday for a bit. I know because I surfed their forums and such. Maybe he's doing maintenance or something. I don't know. Still, if you look around you can find screenshots and a demo somewhere....

Using Opera right now as you suggested and it loads perfectly in Opera

But it failed in IE8, Google Chrome and Apple Safari.

Yeah, I just nabbed the demo from Softpedia.
Pretty fun.
Provided that the full game isn't ridiculously expensive, I may have to throw some cash the developer's way.

It's 15 GBP (Great British Pounds) so about 25 USD. Not too bad for an indie.
Information for netbook gamers:

Knights of the Chalice runs PERFECT on a netbook. No lag, no glitches, or any crashes of the sort.

JudasIscariot: It's not a difficult game on Normal. In my opinion, the game contains enough challenge to keep a player from being frustrated. I usually suck at D&D games because of the qway i build my characters and yet I have managed to make it to level 18 because of the reloading :P
How does the full game compare to the ossuary in the demo in terms of difficulty?

Mentalepsy: How does the full game compare to the ossuary in the demo in terms of difficulty?
The full game is difficult at first but not throw-the-PC-out-the-window difficulty. The ossuary is problematic because it doesn't let you scribe scrolls or make/enchant your own weapons or armor.

The full game does have SOME really rage-inducing fights (Kessa in the Orc Stockade tends to be one of them...) but you can reduce the rage by either exploiting the game's crafting and scroll scribing feature and the fact that even dragons aren't immune to spells such as Irresistable Dance, Mind Blast, and sometimes Mass Harm. They'll resist those spells sometimes but not always.

The full game also has random encounters if you ever wish to gain a few levels before attacking some of the major dungeons or if you need money and exp for crafting.
