Did anyone buy this? I just want to check exactly what the game contains as far as single player (offline) play.
The Steam store page indicates it's single player and multiplayer, but the devs. state it's only single player in the tutorial.
They also mention something about bots. So I'm wondering if it's possible to play similar to the Unreal games -- ie, as an offline bot match with the player against AI opponents.
The devs. haven't exactly given a clear answer when asked.
5 shiny rep. points if you can help!

I was going to get it, but since you get beta access AFTER buying it and I have no idea who this developer is I'm not about to spend any money on an unknown quantity.
Same, which is why I'm asking. It looks tempting but I don't trust any information Valve post on their store these days.

Also it looks like there aren't any gameplay videos of the beta on Youtube that I can see. So NDA perhaps?
I doubt there's an NDA involved when you're buying beta access. That just appears counterproductive to me.
Looks good thou
This has always been presented as a multiplayer-focused game, so I don't understand why the devs would say it's singleplayer only in the tutorial...

I think you misunderstand, or perhaps I wasn't clear enough. The devs have said the only single player part of the game is the tutorial. Everything else is multiplayer.
But they don't then explain if the bots in the game can be used as a substitute for a shitty net connection. And that's what I'd really like to know.
Maybe this thread can help you.

Perhaps, if the devs. ever respond to it again. Can I take it then, that none of the GOG forum goers have purchased this game?
I am heavily considering buying this game but I'm afraid my funds to do so are absent.
Well, I read about it a bit back in the past when the first trailers popped up on the internet and just today when I noticed that Steam has the beta access.
For the time being it seems that it is better to buy it for the consoles. The PC version suffers from the lack of any kind of graphical options meaning that apart from resolution you can't really change any video setting. Combine this with rather steep system requirements (Dual Core, 512 gpu memory, etc.) and you get something that just screams bart port. Also from what I understand the mouse support is clunky, with sky-high sensivity. Plus some people (I believe they were Aussies) are reporting some heavy lag.
The devs have said that this is because they had to rush to make it on time with the PC version and the future patches will add the video options.
As for the game itself it's something similar to TF2 with four distinc player classes each with their own, special skill (for example Trapper can lay traps). I don't know if there is any bot support.
I am getting in on XBLA/PSN when it arrives.
Definitely curious about it, but I'll wait until a little bit more concrete information is available.
I bought it yesterday and love it.
Yes it's a bit rough (lack of graphical options, dedicated servers, etc) but it's still a fun game.
The developer (Fatshark) is new, this is their first title to my knowledge.
It's 13.49, that is literally a trip to the movie theater. The game is fun, well worth it imo.
It's basically a smaller TF2 set in the old west.
Some things that set it apart are the spawning system. Basically you have a "stick" which starrs off at your base. It can be picked up by someone though and now you can choose to spawn on that person. However they can die and then the stick drops, but someone else can pick it up/spawn from it unless an enemy gets it, then it goes back to your base.
Another good thing is the class "synergies." Basically each class has a power-up which they passively give off in an aura around them (IE, dmg boost, higher crit chance, accuracy, etc). This GREATLY encourages and rewards players to stick together and play as a team.
Seriously, if you like TF2 and mp shooters, help support an indie developer. It's a measly 13.49.

Could you answer my questions in the first post please?
