So far, the Cinnamon and MATE editions have been released:
Cinnamon: http://blog.linuxmint.com/?p=2714
MATE: http://blog.linuxmint.com/?p=2713
An update package to upgrade from Mint 17 to 17.1 will be made available via the Update Manager in a few days.
I have been trying out Linux distributions for a quite long time now (Ubuntu for the most part) but I have never been quite happy with the hardware compatibility and usability. Well, since the release of Mint 17 that impression has changed. I'm really considering to switch over to Mint Cinnamon to replace Windows as my primary working OS (I would be keeping Win 7 for gaming though).
I have taken a quick look at Mint 17.1. Overall it's another big improvement, making my decision even tougher. Has anyone else here been trying the new release?
