CONTEST CLOSED - THANKS EVERYONE!

An anonymous donor sent a few bucks to my paypal with the special request that I invent a new type of giveaway game for you all. Thank you, anonymous [I know who it is, but not supposed to say]! Still, I thought maybe the well had run dry, in the sense that I couldn't think of a new type of game... but I came up with this one, which I'll call "Lyrical Thesaurus"!

Here's how it works: I have taken the lyrics to a song, and changed them around a bit, subbing out words for roughly equivalent meanings. If the word totally gives it away, then I've subbed it out.

The first person to guess the artist and song title, wins a 5.99 GOG.

So, showing a bit of local flair with an artist/band that is constantly on the radio here. I like to joke that at any given time, at least one of this artist/band's songs can be found on the radio simply by changing the station once or twice.

If there's a few incorrect guesses, I will add a few lines to the lyrics until the entire thing is up. If too tough, say "tough" to let me know and I will add more lines earlier.

HINT: song was released from 1980-2000.

Artist/Band - Title

"I am in [object]
I am moving across [particular place #1]
Ultimately, I am headed for [particular place #2]
However, this evening my destination will be [particular place #3]"

"Having received a type of liquid energy frequently associated with larger vehicles, yesterday from [particular place #4], at sunrise, we set out from [particular place #5]. Similar to many people here, I needed to sell my place of residence, But I refuse to admit defeat, and have labored until little skin remains on two of my appendages...."

".......in order to purchase my [object that I have given a name to in line 1,]
I go places where there is a long way to the bottom
There are large humanoids in this chasm with cliffs,"

I've decided to add a line for each incorrect guess. So, a new one there, and the next incorrect guess gets a new line, too.

Well, the only other choice for me HAS to be the single-most overplayed band on radio - Eagles. Song......Take It Easy

Nope, sorry! New line coming!

Oh, and it's not on the radio all the time. The band/artist is popular enough, but not overplayed IMO. Band/artist is just COMPLETELY overplayed in my region.

Nope - new line coming!

BTW, there is a line which is virtually instant-win for anyone who sees it first and can translate it first, so I hope we get it before then :)

Great song, and on Long Island, where I'm from, you can't go anywhere that is out of reach of Billy Joel radio territory!
