This is pretty amazing news and I didn't find it anywhere else. Weird how there's very little news about it. I might actually buy a copy when I get the chance. Never had it on steam.

Majesty Gold HD is pretty much Majesty reprogrammed to run on a up to date computer without the issues that Majesty Gold Vanilla has. The gameplay and graphics are exactly the same,except for screen resolutions.
THe music problem (the music often freezing the game) has been solved (although there was a workaround of that) and is has the notroious two bonus scenarios which you could not play on Majesty Gold (you could only play them with the original Majesty and the Northren expansions disc,due to a progamming error they could not run on Majresty Gold).

Frankly, if you have Majesty Gold HD, there is no reason to install the original, since the gameplay is pretty much the same.

Not bad. Next time try doing Legendary Heroes and I will be more interested as it is only level I wasn't ever able to beat without cheating.

Legendary Heroes was a huge headache for me as well. It is the only level that I don't fully expect to win every time I play it, in fact my win/loss ratio on that one is pretty bad :( Anyway, I've made 2 more videos in the series, though as of yet I've not made any of an expansion level. In these I make some comments on my thoughts on the different heroes and on the balance of the game.

You can confirm this, on steam at least? All I see is "Majesty Gold HD" to buy.

I can access both versions. Of course, I bought it before. I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that you get both versions when you buy it now in HD, but I can't find the quote now.

Love this game, even if I'm normally terrible at strategy games. I bought the HD version from Steam, though I own an older copy of Gold Edition. Glad I never tried to run my old copy on this computer, from the descriptions of the problems it had on 7. I had so many issues running it on my old XP desktop it never occurred to me to try. However, the HD version runs beautifully and still looks very much like I remember.

Ah, I already have the disc. My dad used to work at the company that made it, coincidentally. Anyway, good and unique game. Maybe I'll pick up the HD version if it goes on sale at some point.

And good effort, it seemed actually quite easy this way.
But it's quite cheesy tactics. Still better than mine, though. I win only when I let elves to build gambling hall and then I use several save and relaods I make fortune to start the level fast. Then I use heroes to destroy barrows one by one and use chain lightning to destroy swarms of creatures.
Have you ever beaten this level by not using this cheesy tactics? I'd like to know if it is even possible.

Also in harder levels I often turn off collecting taxes from houses to get faster collect rate from more profitable buildings and only when I had time and there is more money in houses I sent collector for one time visit. I saw you did nothing like that in this map but now when I am thinking about it I am not sure there were any houses there. Have you tried it ever? I's like to know if you find it profitable too because it's hard to tell while having only my perspective.
