This year's baseball sim for only $2.99 instead of the usual $29.99? Sure, why the hell not?
Shacknews speaks on GameStop DRM scheme and their optional "insurance policy":
http://www.shacknews.com/onearticle.x/63141
Each purchase includes three licenses, which, according to GameStop, "means you may install the game on other computers and activate it up to 3 times."
Be forewarned that GameStop will automatically add a $3.95 "Download Insurance" charge to your cart alongside the game--meant to ensure that "a back up copy of these Digital Good(s) will be available to you for download for up to eighteen (18) months from the date of purchase"--though this can be removed.
Oddly, it's not clear how long the download will be available if that insurance is not purchased

Well, good thing I didn't buy it!
So thats how much we should be saving on digital downloaded games, why do companies still insist on jacking up the prices to retail level?
EDIT: Nevermind

Why does it bother you so much if people create a post for a deal in the general forum? I can understand why it irks you that the deals discussion gets derailed, but keep in mind that not everybody checks the deals thread. Or maybe you are just trying to show people the light, in which case I believe you are doing the right thing, I love that thread.

I guess you're right. Whenever I post one of these deal links I always think it's the best thing ever and has to be seen by everyone so they can take advantage, but since all of the ones I post fall into this category for me, I shall try to force myself to post my links there.
Hey, Digital River!
I think.
