This movie really hits hard. I didn't know who Sam Rockwell was before I saw Iron Man 2, and thought he was okay in that, but this movie has made me a fan. He reminds me of Ed Norton. Kevin Spacey also did a great job as GERTY.
Thought this was about the DS game....Never mind.

Me too. It's a good DS game, but I can't get past a certain point.

Saw this when it first came out on DVD. Rockwell had an amazing performance and the movie is within my top 20 of all time. The whole Kevin Spacey thing made me chuckle to myself due to the resemblance to HAL.
And Rohan15, I think "Moon" is a DS game as well.

My only recollection of him is from The Assination of Jesse James...
After looking up the movie it sounds like I should rent it. Thanks.
PS - I really wanted him to die in Iron Man 2.

It is...I own it. Geniuses behind Dementium made it.
I saw it a month ago, and I really enjoyed it too.
I also liked the music
Brilliant movie.
The first (and only) thing I saw Sam Rockwell in was The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy and when this movie came out, I thought, "there's no way Zaphod Beeblebrox could put in a good performance" and skipped it in the theaters and when it came out on DVD. Then it showed up on Netflix instant play and I decided to give it a shot. All I can say is "wow!". That was an Oscar worthy performance and it moved that film near the top of my list of favorite intelligent sci-fi films, right up there with Alien and Blade Runner.
Indeed, what an awesome movie. Like a modern day "2001: A Space Odyssey"
I think the first film I saw Sam Rockwell in was 1997s "Lawn Dogs" with Mischa Barton (then 11 or 12). Both performances were stunning. This is definitely a film you should watch and pay attention to - it may seem bizarre at first glance (story and development of) but it does a very good job if you pay attention.

Check out 'Welcome To Collinwood'.
Saw it last week in the sneak preview here in my local cinema (germany).
I really enjoyed the film as it evolves a deep story only out of 2 or 3 real characters.
Also the visual style was very good. The harvesters and the scenes outside of the moon station...
Will definetly buy it on DVD when its available in stores here.
I began looking for Rockwell movies after his great performance as "Wild Bill" in the Green Mile. Been a fan ever since . . . =)
Edit : Green Mile also turned me into a fan of Barry Pepper (Saving Private Ryan, Snow Walker)
You have to be attentive to catch some very key scenes. It's also direct by the son of David Bowie for those that don't know.
