To make it short there is 2 games i would really like to find out the title of. I have tried before on some other forums but without any result ( at least not for one of the games) and I figured that since they both are fairly old I imagine this would maybe be the best place to ask.
So the first game is a sci-fi diablo looking game. It should be at least 8 years old most likely more than that. Between missions you have the opportunity to shop weapons, install cybernetics and heal all in some kind of a base. The game itself plays very similar to diablo but with focus on firearms. Your main enemies are different kinds of aliens.
And yes I know that there is a few games that fit this description but I have yet to find the right one. important to know is that I only played a demo of this game so it is possible that it never were finished and released. The demo was from a swedish PC magazine ( can't remember which one though) if that helps.
The other game is a game I have neither played but i remember looking at the game box inside stores a long time ago. This game should also most likely be 8+ years old and it is some kind of a World War II RPG if I understand correctly. Seeing how I haven't played it myself I can't describe it much better but it seems like you control different characters in a top down view.
I realize this is fairly vague but it would make me happy if someone could help me out :) Feel free to ask me to add more info because I might be able to do that. Thanks in advance

trucane: Nope still not any of the games mentioned here :/ Must be a really unknown game since I have yet to find anyone else who has tried it.
Oh and I did read a bit about Another War and it actually seemed pretty nice which kinda sucks considering if it would have seemed bad it wouldn't be much of a loss not being able to get my hands on it :/

trusteft: What exactly do you mean by the game being in 2D?

Well what I mean with that is that the character and monsters are in 2D sprites and If I can remember the backgrounds were pre-rendered aswell. So there was no 3D at all, no rotating camera or anything like that. Much like diablo 1
Perhaps the Crusader games? There was also another game, similar to them...I remember a female protaganist, and lots of messed up enemies like cybernetic babies. It got pretty mediocre reviews if i recall...
Also, perhaps the listing at http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Category:Video_games_with_isometric_graphics could help?

Was the game played with an isometric view? Top down? Birds eye? Side ways?
How big is your character in the screen? What platform and OS did you play this?
Did you control only one character? How, with keyboard, joystick, joypad, mouse, what?
Was it in real time or turn based? A mix of the two? (real time but during fighting turn based?)

Isometric view
Hard to tell how big he was on screen
Only one character at least in the demo, using the mouse for moving and attacking while using keyboard for just hotkeys and such
It was fully real time. As I said it played pretty much as a diablo clan just with another setting
