TBagger: Is the article picture a Witcher 2 pic? If so, color me awed.
Well yes. The Witcher 2 is the best looking RPG fo all time and that's not hyperbole.

I'd like that but with a very open world. Is it too much to ask for a killer story aaaand loads of extra content and side stories? Despite its problems I liked that in oblivion I never felt any push to follow the main quest, and since it sucked IMO I never did.;)
I'd wager that it's not even an RPG they'll announce. I can see them wanting to branch out. I have no legitimate basis for this conclusion.

You are probably right but a man can dream.

I'll take that wager and raise you 50.

The dev diaries states that the RED engine was specifically built for RPG's. Why would they now make their lives extra difficult by using it for a non-rpg?

I see your 50 and raise you 100 Somalian Shillings.

Because they're crazy people!

I have a hard time grasping how this engine is not equally suited for the likes of other games, such as action adventure.

Nice find, and I'll echo that sentiment.
Since we're speculating...

Wait for it...
Wait for it...
Wait for it...

... Freespace 3. You heard it here first.

I mean, a man can dream, right? :P

Whatever it is, I am pretty sure it is going to be awesome. After the success of The Witcher 2, I think CD Projekt can do just about anything. Can't wait to find out what's next.

It's now unclear. It might be The Witcher for consoles.

British Eurogamer were told it was Witcher for consoles. http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2011-05-24-new-witcher-game-to-be-announced-at-e3

Czech Eurogamer were told it was something completely different. http://www.eurogamer.cz/articles/tvurci-zaklinace-predstavi-novy-projekt
Update - British colleagues from EG with Polish producer of our initiative talked on the phone and told them, surprisingly, something completely different than us in an e-mail, although it is unfortunately not yet possible in public. Anyway, when the authors had previously said they do not handle multiple projects at once, did not lie:) And for all the following quotes speak for producer Eurogamer.net : "Console game players that might be interested."
However, they are only handling one project. So this Witcher for consoles/not Witcher, but also for consoles is the same game.

"I can't say anything obviously for gazillions of reasons but it is a Witcher game, and I can say that console gamers might be interested in it."

Yeah, quite odd. I read eurogamer and was like "yeah of course they are porting it" and then I read some other stories and it seemed like they were specifically saying it was not the Witcher related. Huh?

We'll just have to wait for more info I guess. The Witcher 2 is really built for consoles already though so it would be silly not to port it.
Soooo no Savior of Queens then? Damn :-(.
