It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

For those using Stylish for client-side CSS: http://userstyles.org/styles/99173/google-underline (though it's set up to affect only google.com, so you'd have to adjust it to affect e.g. google.co.uk).

how to (for chrome browser):

first install tampermonkey - https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/tampermonkey/dhdgffkkebhmkfjojejmpbldmpobfkfo?hl=en

script link for "Google links old style" - http://userscripts.org/scripts/review/409199

Just press "Google links old style", install when prompted and enable the script from your tampermonkey dashboard. Enjoy your old google searches! :)

Barefoot_Monkey: I think it's a good change - I never really liked underlines all over links. But then again, I'm quite happy using Startpage instead of Google search. You might like Startpage too. It's a metacrawler variant of Ixquick which also pulls results from Google, and ranks everything very well.
I really have to agree and also heavily recommend Startpage. It's so much better than Google, and I have no intention of ever going back. Only the image search is a bit wonky, but I'm not sure if this may be only a personal problem.
