Sorry for the incoming TLDR..
@Desikratis (and probably everyone else :)) - we understand what you feel and we're there too :) We also like to have a mixture and believe you me, it's not easy finding owners of the rights of older games, some of our searches have taken weeks only to find that we're stuck at some lawyer who won't say anything because he's signed a non-disclosure agreement and will contact the licence holder at his discretion.. *sigh*
Deals like this one with JoWood are really good for us, apart from giving us some fantastic titles which appeal to some more than others (granted) but also the visibility and also give us time to continue our search for older titles.
Saying that, we sometimes take what we can get (within reason of course) but you want old, we want old but sometimes we won't get old, we'll just get good games. And DRM-free of course :)
So we take some newer titles which hopefully in time, we'll lead us to the old archive of various developers and publishers.. where those gems are hidden in the deepest dungeon :)
We also get to vent some of that frustration playing a great title like Painkiller :)
They say that the pen is mightier than the sword, but that stake gun is really tempting :))
We've got a few older titles coming soon ;)) but you'll have to wait for the announcements (and the games when they're ready.. it's that compatibility thing again :)) Looking at Deus and Robinson's Requiem, I can tell you we had that those two with our programmers and test teams for weeks until we had a version we were happy with. So patience please and hopefully we'll release something really old soon and hopefully they will appeal to you too :))
So for now, whilst your waiting, maybe a stake gun sir? :)

Desikratis: I don't know what I was trying to do. I do, however, know that I was just stating my opinion.
@Oldski;
Thanks for the candid reply.
My concern arose from my view of the site and the impression I had received when the first titles you launched with were relatively old ones that required assistance-programs to run.
I don't have a problem with having these newer titles on the site - not at all. I was just misguided in my view of the purpose of the site. My only concern is the community it will/has attract(ed). I know that's not really something you guys can control but I hope (really hope) this site doesn't just turn into another Steam/D2D-esque site. It's nice having somewhere reliable to get obscure/old/problematic (which come with the fixes, of course!) games.
I think you guys have done a grand job so far and just hope you don't relegate the aforementioned types of games to the back burner.

Thanks for your feedback and for explaining your opinion :)
We are trying to focus on older games as was and is, the idea of this site/service.
More of those "good old games" coming soon! ;)
