While not a direct sequel, Phantasmagoria 2: A Puzzle of Flesh has a lot in common with the original. It had the misfortune of enduring very critical reviews, but we encourage you to give it a chance and judge it for what it is.
[url=http://www.gog.com/en/gamecard/phantasmagoria_2]Phantasmagoria 2 is a horror-themed, FMV-based point-and-click adventure game. The game has got a ton of strong points, contrary to what the "experts" may believe. The story gets you hooked very quickly and contains scenes which are taboo in pretty much every other game, sex included. The puzzles range from intuitive to almost impossible, so a walkthrough might prove useful, but feel free to experiment. Unlike in many other adventure games, there are many FMV sequences for failed attempts (like opening a door with a screwdriver), rather than a plain "Sorry, Dave" by the main character. So, although you may have been discouraged from playing this game, why not give it a shot and decide by yourself whether it's good or not?
I didn't even know there were two lol. I played the first one and enjoyed it for what it was. Maybe I'll try this one as well.
In before JacobNZ says how shit Phantasmagoria is and trolls the place to oblivion
In before JacobNZ says that Steam is better than GOG because they don't have shit games like Phantasmagoria, then defend himself by accusing everyone else of being sad, fat, lonely losers of the kind that write Youtube comments out of their grandparents utility closet.
Phantasmagoria II was better than the first by far - they learned from their mistakes - but it's a very different game and not really a direct sequel.
I don't care how bad the reviews were for this game, I still had it when I was in high school and loved it! This is perfect timing too since I just finished the first Phantasmagoria last night!
FMV games, bad to average to good I tend to enjoy. Will buy and try it sometime later, I don't want to continue my habit of buying more than I have the time to play in. Slowly catching up though.
I also see 'return to krondor' listed as coming soon.

Hey, no need to get defensive :D it's ok <pats GOGs back>.
Uhm, skipping this one though. FMV games aren't really my thing.
I never knew there was a 2 either! Wow... guess I will get it if a positive review pops up.

This should have been released 1st. Hope we get it on Thursday.

Horribly disappointing ending, but up to that point, I loved it. Very involving experience.

* off to write positive review *
Seriously though, I enjoyed this game back when it was released. Ending hurts the overall game a lot, though. But up until the last few bits of the game the setting is consistent and believable enough.
I think I wont be able to buy this game after the review by Spoony :D http://spoonyexperiment.com/category/phantasmagoria/
I heard that, Curtis!
I HEARD THAT CUR...
