Summer is on the way, and it’s already heating up. Stay inside and beat the heat with one of the definitive PC platformers of the 90’s.

Join Rayman and Globox in the second adventure in the legendary Rayman saga from Ubisoft! Save the fauna of Rayman’s world from the dastardly hands of Admiral Razorbeard and his gang of robot pirates. Check out the successor to the cult classic Rayman in this revolutionary free-roaming 3D platformer, shoot fists, jump, swim, hover like a helicopter, or use a vast plethora of other unique gameplay enhancing abilities. Collect Lums to gain or enhance your abilities. Rayman needs to find four masks of the world to awaken Polokus who will help Rayman save his friends and free the world of the pirate threat. Most 3D games don’t live up to their 2D predecessors but [url=http://www.gog.com/en/gamecard/rayman_2_the_great_escape]Rayman 2: The Great Escape is a shining example of how to do it correctly and it excels at every jump along the way.
Nice got this game on CD! But isn't working on 7 so gonna buy this for sure! =D
Cool title, but will wait for it to go on promo...
I've never played the PC port. It appears you can't alter the controls in any way, and the manual confirms that. Being a 3D platformer, I'd like to play with an analog gamepad (A PS2 controller, to be precise), and it supports that, but I have to use /\ to jump, X and [ ] to rotate the camera, and I'd rather use X to jump and [ ] to attack, you know?

Unfortunately, while I could use JoyToKey like the first Rayman, I don't know how to use the analog stick while disabling the other buttons on the controller and binding them with JoyToKey. In fact, I don't know how to disable the joystick in this game at all...

Searches aren't coming up with a lot of luck, it doesn't look like anybody has been bothered to make a patch for the controls over the last decade, so I'll probably wind up playing with the keyboard. :/
Hmm, from the reviews looks like this is actually a great game, unlike say RRR.
Played this on N64 back when. Definitely one of the greatest platformers ever. Steal at $6. Nice, Ubisoft.

Played this on the old Dreamcast, great game recommended to all! Will add this to my wishlist. Nice release GOG. Didn't finish many games on the Dreamcast, but this was one which I did!

Hmm i played it around the time it came out and about a year ago again and i think i never had any problems with the default keyboard controls. Then again we use to deal with a lot of stuff back then that we give up on now in frustration way too fast. I should test it myself but my cd version is in a box somewhere due to changing houses...
Brilliant release!

One of the best 3D platformers ever!
WWWWWWOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH

actually that one isn't very good IMO, they should skip it and go directly to rayman 3 ;)
Wasn't there somebody not that long ago who was looking to play Rayman 2?
I seem to remember so.

Either way, now is your chance.

This is a great game that I recommend everyone play on whatever available platform you want to play it on.
Except for the iOS and DS versions. Don't play those.

Yes, I do believe there was. If I'm not mistaken, their name was "one in four GOG members". :P
How does this compare to Mario 64 or Banjo Kazooie? Is it similar in terms of big, open levels?

I see this was on N64, PS2, and Dreamcast. Visually, are they the same, and which does the PC version take after?

How about controller support?

A little more info and I'm buying this...
