I have a game i downloaded from a Humble Bundle like a year ago, but i don't have the page where i downloaded it anymore. I don't remember what email i used to buy the bundle either. Chances are it's been deleted. I was just wondering, is there a way on windows 7 to find out the URL a file has been downloaded from?

Remember all i have is a zip file of the DRM free game that i backed up to a disc from my old computer. Is there a way to scan the zip and find out where it came from? I mean the URL? Because as i recall, part of the URL of a downloaded HiB game is your "Key" page URL right? Strange question i know, but i am trying to claim all my old HIBs. It sucks that i might have lost some :(.

Any help is appreciated. Even if it's just to tell me i'm an idiot and what i'm hoping to do is impossible :P.

I'm sorry, but no. This information isn't stored anywhere in or with the Zip file.
If at all, the only meta data could have been found on your old PC, but not with just the backup file from a disc.

Maybe you can achieve something, by giving the HumbleBundle support your billing data. Problem is, that you don't remember the date, but maybe you find somebody there who's willing to search for you name or credit card number, to validate the transaction. Speaking of the date and billing data, what about your account statements or summary of your credit card use or paypal transactions? They should contain the date of purchase.

Nope, sorry. The only chance you have is to cross your fingers, dig through all your email accounts and hope you get lucky...
Thanks guys.
Depending on the game, you might be able to figure out which Humble Bundle it's from; that could help to narrow your search down to a 2 week period. Granted, that's not a ton of help, but it's better than nothing.

If it's from the Store (not a bundle), however, there's not much you can do with that aside from contacting their support and see if they can do anything.
