Good God, not again. My wallet is crying.

Well, phew. I wasn't expecting this so soon, but I saw a notification on GOG's facebook page to find it had only just started. Thankfully I didn't miss anything, and I can now knock two games off my wishlist -- I'd stated to myself this sale that I'd only get the STALKER games either once I'd played the first one and liked it, or if they ended up in a bundle.

And they're in a bundle.

The STALKERs are a must-have. I recommend to the bundle to everyone who doesn't have them.

Yeah, I'd heard that they were pretty good, but I didn't want to drop in a 50% sale for all of them before I'd tested out the first. A 75% bundle sale is enough for me to go "sure, why not? I've enjoyed the Fallout games" and buy them.

Well, the Steam fall sale was pretty lackluster. The only thing I got was Mirror's Edge for €2.50. Looks like Steam is saving the big cannons for the Winter sale, which will probably start immediately once the GOG winter sale ends. Setting the GOG winter sale at the same time as the Steam winter sale sounds like an ever worse idea.

The Stalker games are basicaly this, only set fifteen years earlier.

From what I've seen people say about previous Steam sales, the fall one is usually middling and the winter one better. Prices seem to be consistent on both (e.g. a game on sale for 50% off on the fall sale is going to be 50% in the winter sale). Steam's winter sale is rumoured to be on or around the 18th of December, so GOG's sale finishes a good few days before Steam's should start.
