But what does this have to do with the most important aspect of video games: the gameplay?

Navagon: The most impressive thing about this is that they're able to achieve those results in real time. No additional work required. So yes, the potential to apply a scaled down version to games is no mere pipe dream.
Was it real time, or did they just sync the audio from the mocap session to the rendered image?
