First game I have backed in many months:

https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/fictiorama/dead-synchronicity-tct-a-dark-point-and-click-adve

Supposedly its old-school monkey island style but with a very adult theme.

Could possibly be for something of interest for those disappointed by the more modern style of Broken Age (not that this one has old school style graphics though).
Looks very good. High quality pitch, drops all the right references, and has a demo? Very, very good.

When you say adult, do you mean in the ridiculous euphemistic sense or that it has a mature plot? I can't check it out until I'm home later.
looks very interesting. thanks for posting this link.
I like that they were influenced by "I Have No Mouth and I Must Scream" and "Sanitarium", I'm already looking forward to this game!

You're right that "adult themes" often means "teenage themes" but this does seem to be adult in a slightly more mature sense. Here's the opening of their pitch:
Dead Synchronicity: Tomorrow comes Today (the full name didn’t fit the Kickstarter “name” gap!) is the first title of the Dead Synchronicity series: a 2D point and click adventure to be released for PC, Mac, and tablets (iOS).

Featuring a script with dystopian overtones, the game pays homage to classic adventures (The Secret of Monkey Island, Broken Sword, Day of the Tentacle...) but revolves around a more mature theme, along the lines of games such as I have no mouth and I must scream or Sanitarium.
So gory but plot-wise it takes a few cues from I have no mouth and I must scream and Sanitarium

Oh and on a lighter note:
It's Michael, a man with no past, recover his identity
I sometimes wish that game writers could stop using amnesia as a crutch so much. It feels like every other game has a central character who has memory problems.

Amnesia in adventure games is not a crutch, it's a legitimate device that makes writing and puzzle design more difficult. A character with an, ahem, character is free not to go for solutions obvious to the player for arbitrary reasons. An amnesiac, being essentially "you", doesn't have this excuse.
I don't like the art-style, how the characters are blocky, has this new-age webcomic look to it. I'd rather AGS pixel art.
Glad to see there is some interest in this. Solid start but not spectacular. I suspect it will be a push to get funded but fingers crossed...

Yes, in general I want designers to think harder about why the player-character is doing the things he does in an adventure game, but amnesia is a device that's a bit overdone.

I played through the extended demo for this kickstarter and my feeling is that the writing is a bit off. Part of it is a translation issue that can be sorted out with a good editor, but the bigger and more important part is that it feels a bit like they took a bunch of cool ideas from various scifi movies and tv series and threw them together. I'm curious to see if they can actually pull this off and make it work, but I'm skeptical. Time travel, amnesia, these are things that have broken many a plot.
Just thought I would bump this. They look like they aren't going to make it :(

Throw some dollars in if the game interests you and you are willing to take the risk :)
Worth a bump, theyr in the final stretch and may make it. Theyv provided pretty high quality samples and arent asking very much at all.
Last bump from me. They just made their funding.

Back it if you want to !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (or don't) (but I reckon it looks good)
