Outcast was published by Infogrames, Master of Orion by Microprose.
Microprose ceased to exist after Infogrames taking over Hasbro Interactive, that had Microprose inside.
So both Outcast and Master of Orion are property of Infogrames, today known as Atari.
So, as the publisher is now the same, probably that countdown in frontpage is referring to a double release, Outcast and Master of Orion, instead of one of the two.
or maybe it will be MoO 1+2+3 and Outcast! that would be awesome :O
Yes. Those games were shown in CDPROJEKT spring conference.
I am 99% sure that the countdown is for these Atari games. :)

Also, they were talking about closing BETA and become GOG 1.0
We'll see.

Here's the (somewhat premature) announcement.
If GOG have managed to fix MOO2 to run (in dos box or not) and not corrupt saves then this will be a glorious day indeed.

Maybe i'm alone with my opinion, but i was expecting other games not these.I'm not happy.
GoG still owes us games from the Activision catalogue.

While all opinions should be respected in their own right, I am inclined to think that it indeed may be the case that this particular position will not receive much following in present circumstances.

I agree, GOG releases have been lackluster lately and sometimes misleading. I'm not expecting much, maybe first MOO alone at best.

You're not alone. This is not the best Atari has to offer. MOO was good for it's time and has its fans. Outcast was good, kinda felt like a rip off "tribute" of multiple sci-fi movies. Don't get me wrong, I liked it, but they could of done more instead of just object collecting. It kinda falls back on the old shooter "Find the Silver Key" to progress mentality. I've only played it through once and that was back when it was released. When "Find the Silver Key" was still the popular cliche. :-)

No, they really don't. No specific Activision games were promised and then not delivered. There were no guarantees which games would appear.
Besides, I'd rather see a good number of games appear from a big new 'get' for GOG, then further releases from that company are simply added to the mix down the line. What's the point of exhausting a game source, then completely draining the next?

I would kill for MoO 2...
I still have my original Moo2 disc, but I would definitely purchase the title again just to show my support for such a masterful (sorry, had to say it) game. Obviously, the DOS version could be supported through DOSBox, but additional support for the Windows version wouldn't be bad either, if they could manage it.
Looking forward to some nice Moo2 and Master of Magic wallpapers. ^_^
20 hours and the mistery will be solved.
Let's wait here in religious trepidation.

I'd never call Outcast release misery :P never and ever...
That said I really hope that's way MORE than one or two games as they even did a countdown...
