Prator: You know, I seem to recall that a while back, Amazon was selling copies of Planescape for a dollar (or perhaps less; maybe it was only 1 cent). I thought to myself that this might be an excellent time to try a little business venture and buy a few hundred copies, and then sell them for five times what I paid for them (500 times, if it only cost a penny).
And now we have someone who's hawking copies of Planescape. I wonder if these events are connected...

They were only 1 cent, but I don't think the seller on Amazon had that many copies.

Andy_Panthro: I bought a copy from amazon, and now kinda regret it.
Only because of damned Vista though, since I can only get it to work @ 640x480 windowed. Makes it near unplayable really...
If there's ever a GOG version I will be eternally thankful. Especially if it can be modded appropriately.

Aliasalpha: Tried this? http://thunderpeel2001.blogspot.com/2009/01/planescape-torment-fully-modded.html
Took me a few attempts but I was able to run it at 1440x900 and without crashes

tried a couple of times, with no success.
I think it took me 5 goes and the time I got it right I actually got the order wrong, think I swapped unfinished business & the tweak pack.
I have no idea why it sometimes doesn't work but have another few attempts, the results are worth it

Well, the amount of time it would take isn't good for me. I have a stack of other games waiting, and far less time than I would like (not to mention my book stockpile, DVDs and the fact I'm in the middle of a TV tropes binge...).
Just wish that the backwards compatibility of Vista (and PCs in general) was a touch better... in the "old" win95 days I could get anything working, now there are just some games which just won't work past XP, and others that require so much effort it's immensely frustrating.
Dualboot mate, best compatibility mode there is
