I just want to shamelessly self-promote a video game I worked on in 2007. I recently finished a trailer (sort of) for it, so now I can use this to show the game around. I'm interested in hearing what you think of the trailer, the game and/or the concept.
A little background info: in this game you have to construct buildings and other objects by means of a self-propelled UFO that can beam up, carry and drop geometrical shapes. When a shape drops onto another an object will form e.g., a cube and a pyramid will transform into a house.
The game was developed for children with severe learning difficulties. With this target group in mind we decided that, in essence, you should only have to use one button to play the game. Additionally, we thought it would be helpful if the child could also learn something from playing: to recognize certain shapes.
Here's the link for the trailer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vRwzpJR90Wg
I thought that was very well made.
I liked the concept for the game.
Impressive!
Thanks!
By the way, if anyone one wants to give it a whirl, it can be downloaded from here:

The game might give you some trouble when you try to run it. Be sure to have the version of Shockwave installed that comes with the install package (game is made in Director) which you can find in the 'support' folder. Also, the menu is crappy and in Dutch, so if you just want to play without too much hassle, select 'default', hit 'ok' and select 'spel hervatten' everytime you start up the game. The game should run in XP and Vista. Don't know about Windows 7.
And don't worry; the game comes with a neat and tidy uninstall tool.
That actually looks pretty cool. I'll try it tomorrow :)
That's pretty damn slick. You should be proud of yourself.
the sound the bird makes when you shoot it made me laugh for a solid minute. this looks pretty great, i love the graphical style.
