Exactly. Such people just ignore all evidence contrary to what they believe. Even when what they believe is that they should be dead right now. They might be shaken for a moment but as soon as the next apocalypse is due (which is mere months away now) they'll be back bashing their Bibles over that instead.

Oddly Enough, i was looking for something to rest my arm and the first thing i saw that was the right size was a paperback called Almost Armageddon.

But next time they say it, just respond "No, we had the Rapture, I saw it! There were all these pure people ascending into heaven, it was beautiful and ... Hang on, why are you still here?"

Is there a website, or even a book that focuses on listing and collating all the different Doomsday cults and theories (and their respective theorists)? I mean, I know about all the big ones like "The Mayan Calendar", and "The Nemesis Star", the cults that killed themselves with poisoned fruit-flavoured drink on the eve of a comet's passing, etc, but surely there's a bunch of lesser known Apocalyptists to read about. It's always the more obscure ones I find the most interesting, probably because the "mainstream" one's are just that, mainstream, and played out.
