Hey fellas I'm posting this from my new Raspberry Pi!!! :D

Just wondering if anyone else on here has one and what they're doing with it :)
OOO! I looked into getting one since they're cheap.

Is it worth it? A dedicated Linux computer doesn't sound half bad. :)
I was going to make a thread about Raspberry Pi's last night but I made one about Monopoly games instead.

I don't have one yet but I'm thinking of getting one. I just don't know what I'd do with it apart from toy around.
Very much worth it! Obviously don't expect it to replace your desktop (or even your netbook) computer...but at only $35 + shipping it's great fun to play around with! :) (And the new turbo mode makes internet browsing acceptable :)
Been very tempted to buy one and try and build some kind of prototype retro-styled games console out of it.

Thinking about getting one and setting it up as a retro C64 / Spectrum & Amiga machine
If you do get one, get it from Farnell. They can get one to your door within a couple weeks. :)

They are actually being made in a Sony plant in the UK now so should be able to get one virtually anywhere that sells PC kit here :)

I have read up that emulators are being created already for them for the old machines so for me it would be an ideal little machine for just that. Hook it up to my TV and use wireless keyboard and gamepad and it will be completely retro on a big screen!
Whenever I see a picture of it, I think "wow, what a small computer. How technology has marched on". Then I look at my phone and think "riiight ...."

I think I need one. I don't know what for, but I want one.
I'm posting this from my Peach Cobbler!

SimonG: I don't know what for,
Whenever you feel compelled to buy a piece of actually useless technology and need to justify it to yourself, you just need to tell yourself that it is a sacrifice to appease the geek spirits.

I had the same idea. Hope it will arrive before christmas :(

I ordered in august @ RS Online
I want one of those since they came out. It seems I'm not getting them any time soon though, as no one sells them here in Serbia. Honestly I have no clue what would I use it for even if I would manage to get one, but who cares about small and unimportant things like that :-P
Ive got my Pi sitting under my tv running xbmc so I can stream movies, tv etc... but when I get some more time outside of work and uni ill get some more games running on it. Best use of it so far has been running quake 3 which runs surprisingly well for a tiny machine!

Defo recommend getting one as they are so cheap and have so much potential.
