After reading the post-mortem of Rune Masters, it reminded me that I like to read that kind of stuff because you get lots of insights on the gaming industry in general.

So I create this thread (doesn't seem that there's one already) so we can list our post-mortems to read.

The tag "posmortem" on Gamasutra features a lot of games (PC and consoles):

i do not understand your thread or what you are asking...

what is a post-mortem, in this context?

ok, after checking some of your links, it looks liek a post-release-analysis. or are these specific to more unsuccessful games?

pretty neat stuff! im atucally interested in reading more of these too! but im only really interested in these smaller companies. really could care less to heard a large company discuss how they sold 20million and only thought theyd sell 15million, or whatever.
Yep, you can see them as post-release analysis (if the game was successful or not is not important).

For the small companies, there's a listing of Gamasutra articles here which separates the current indie developers and the AAA developers (but it's a vague notion, coz you can find System Shock 2 or Fallout Tactics):

This list is not complete as it doesn't include newer games (articles published in 2012) and some oldies in the gamasutra archives (such as Heretic 2 or Sanitarium).
Only have time to read one now (Waves) and it was fascinating.

I'll definitely be going back to this later and reading some of the others. Thanks for the post.

I'm not really sure why they call them that. The one I watched was on Pitfall, clearly that one is too obscure for people around here to ever have heard of. :-P

Personally, I'm more interested in hearing about the challenges they faced it creating the product.
