Well for me Nintendo Wii was a huge dissapointment and waste of money, i tried the x360 and I hated it, lots of problems, pay to play online and high prices for games.
Anyway I would love to see a new Zelda game with the same visual of Witcher 2 or better but i don't know if Project Cafe will be a powerful console.

eyeball226: If by launch you mean "5 years after the launch". :P

drmlessgames: Hmm, wasnt that game a DS exclusive? It was one of those experiments to see how would a mature-themed game would do on the DS.
It was neither launch nor exclusive. There are PSP and iOS versions too. <,<
I'm interested in it. But the more I visualize my future, the more I realize my time and space have no room for anything other than portable games.

Tulivu: What I would appreciate from Nintendo's next generation the most is how they handle 3rd party games. I expect that their new network will be well done but I want more than just classic remakes and crappy ports. They have shown innovation but they need more than that to get my dollar.
The hardware gap was responsible for the lack of developer support. Developers want to make one identical game for all platforms but that's not possible with the Wii. The current rumour positions Nintendo's new console as a true next-generation offering in terms of power. Microsoft and Sony could potentially release more powerful consoles but they won't want to wait too long to do so (look at what happened to Sony's market share after launching the PS3 so long after the 360) so they probably won't be as dramatically superior as they were this generation.

The blame for lack of good software can't be put entirely on the publishers. Dozens of great core titles have been developed exclusively for Wii and they simply haven't sold. Nintendo is partially to blame for lack of advertisement and support. Consumers are to blame for making Wii Play, Wii Fit and Just Dance some of the best selling titles of this generation.

Well, Wii Play sold well because it came with an extra controller and the pack cost the same as an extra controller on its own.

There's no excuse for Wii Sports Resort though.
For me GameCube was much better than Wii. There's nothing on Wii compared to NGC games like TLoZ: Wind Waker, Metroid Prime 1/ 2, F-Zero GX and RE: Remake / 0.
I hope this new console is more like NGC (powerful for it's time but with more thirdies support.)
Honestly, I couldn't care less if Nintendo's new console had better hardware. They must have wanted to keep costs down anyway so that they'd be more appealing to families and "casuals." It's not like they need or want to compete with the next XBox, Playstation, and PCs anyway.

At least it was a temporarily exclusive. And I think it was intended to be totally exclusive (the game design fits perfectly with the DS but it's more forced in PSP, for example) but that changed with the bad sales.

You didn't like Twilight Princess or Metroid Prime 3? I agree that Wind Waker and the original Prime were better though. And you're right about Resident Evil, even if the Wii saw re-releases of those titles, the original RE games for the Wii aren't up to their level. But I am looking forward to the release of Fast, hopefully it will be comparable to F-Zero. I'm still amazed that neither F-Zero or Star Fox have made an appearance on the Wii yet. I'm guessing at least one of them is going to be announced for this holiday season during E3.

Cool games, i really enjoyed Twilight Princess ( GC version ) and Corruption was good but not awesome like Echoes and MP1.

I thought Corruption was better than Echoes but not better than the original. Playing Metroid Prime the day I got my GameCube are some of the best memories I'll have of that console. And now that I think of it, Wind Waker was definately my favourite Zelda ever.

I agree with you, although I have a lot of nostalgia for the N64 the GC had a much better lineup than either the N64 or the Wii.

Haha, there seems to be a lot of love for the Gamecube. I hope Nintendo realises this...

I like my kiddy but non-casual games.

Yep, Metroid Prime is amazing. I really liked the dark/light thing on Echoes and it's the hardest Prime game, takes more time to beat.

Yep, I hope for the same thing.
