Hey guys, I'd like your opinion on something.

You k now those old Build 3D engine games such as Duke Nukem, Shadow Warrior and Blood. well when you play these games if you've tried to look up or down you might notice the prospective goes weird.

My question is how do you deal with it. Without resorting to mods eduke (because it won't work with all games)

I love these games and am still debating with myself on what control scheme I should use.

Do you find the distortion problematic, do like lock the Y axis

I found myself getting a bit motion sick when I looked up or down while using a jet back lol.

I'm just curios as to how you guys plays these older game when you've only got the vanilla setting at your disposal.

Thanks for reading :)
You mean "perspective"? I started out playing those games when they were the new thing, and that's all we had so that's what we learned on. As far as revisiting those titles now that we've played the new stuff, it isn't a problem for me. It's simply... different.

I just play, and adapt to the distortion. Most of those old games didn't require much looking up or down anyways.
"Most of those old games didn't require much looking up or down anyways."

This.

Those titles use the look up and down feature more like an eye-candy thing than anything else, it doesn't add any real gameplay value, the games weren't designed around it. At the time it was cool and new, you could look up and down, but that's all, you didn't really need it when playing.
I don't look up or down.
